Central Minister's Strong Remarks on RJD Leader

On Monday, Central Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh launched a fierce critique against Tejashwi Yadav, a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), asserting that his party is in a weak position following the first phase of voting in the Bihar Assembly elections. Singh remarked to a news agency that the RJD has a tendency to make empty claims and is disconnected from reality. He emphasized that after the first phase, which covered 121 seats, the RJD will not be visible in Bihar post November 14, as they are aware that the public will not grant them another chance.

Criticism of RJD's Governance

Singh further criticized the leadership of the RJD, including former Chief Ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, claiming that their 15 years in power left Bihar in darkness. He accused Tejashwi's family of profiting from kidnapping activities during their tenure. Singh stated that under their governance, roads deteriorated into potholes, and electricity was scarce, making it unsafe for residents to venture out after 7 PM. He alleged that the kidnapping business flourished, enriching Tejashwi's family, who reportedly purchased a ₹500 crore house in Delhi while he was still a minor. Singh concluded that a person's upbringing and environment significantly influence their character.

Tejashwi Yadav's Vision for Bihar

These comments came in response to Tejashwi Yadav's earlier statement, where he claimed that the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) would achieve what the Nitish Kumar government failed to accomplish in 20 years within just 20 months. During a press conference in Patna, Tejashwi expressed confidence that Bihar is ready for transformation and will emerge as a leading state. He outlined plans for food processing units, agriculture-based industries, educational and medical facilities, and job opportunities, asserting that Bihar will no longer require its residents to migrate to other states for better prospects.

Upcoming Voting Phases

The first phase of voting took place across 121 seats in 18 districts. Following a historic turnout, the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections will occur on November 11, covering 122 seats in 20 districts.
